Real conversations. No scripts. No pretending.
đ§ The Home of Misfits Podcast
đď¸ So⌠why this podcast exists (and why it might be your new favorite place to loiter)
The Home of Misfits podcast was born out of a very simple realization:
a lot of people are walking around thinking theyâre the only ones who feel this way.
Too sensitive.
Too curious.
Too tired of pretending theyâve got it all figured out.
Too allergic to clichĂŠs like âeverything happens for a reasonâ when what they really want is an honest conversation and maybe a deep sigh of relief.
So we built a mic, pulled up some chairs, and started talking.
This podcast exists to make space for real conversations â the kind that donât rush to fix, polish, or wrap things up with a motivational bow. We talk about life, perspective, meaning, identity, hope, doubt, growth, getting stuck, getting unstuck, and all the in-between places most people avoid in polite conversation.
Sometimes itâs deep.
Sometimes itâs funny.
Sometimes itâs both at the same time.
(Those are usually the best episodes.)
There are no gurus here.
No â5 easy steps.â
No pressure to be inspiring before youâre honest.
The goal isnât to tell you what to think.
Itâs to remind you that youâre not alone in thinking it.
Some episodes feel like sitting on the front porch late at night.
Some feel like coffee with someone who really gets it.
Some feel like that moment when you realize, âOh⌠itâs not just me.â
And honestly?
Thatâs the whole point.
This podcast isnât here to change who you are.
Itâs here to help you remember you were never broken in the first place.
Pull up a mic.
Say the thing.
Or just listen quietly â that counts too.
Welcome to the Home of Misfits.
Weâre really glad youâre here.
Side effects may include nodding, laughing, and feeling less alone.
đ This might be for you ifâŚ
You enjoy conversations that donât try to fix you before they understand you.
Youâve rolled your eyes at âjust think positiveâ more than once.
You like depth, humor, and honesty â sometimes all in the same sentence.
Listen if you:
prefer real talk over life hacks
like perspective more than prescriptions
enjoy laughing and thinking (wild combo, we know)
appreciate conversations that feel more like hanging out than being lectured
This might not be for you if youâre looking for:
five easy steps
a shiny new personality
or someone to tell you how to live your life
But if youâve ever listened to a podcast and thought,
âOh thank God⌠itâs not just me,â
then yes â pull up a chair. We saved you a seat.
đ Who this is definitely not for
This podcast is probably not for you if youâre looking for:
five easy steps to fix your entire life before lunch
a guru with all the answers (and a whiteboard)
aggressive positivity, spiritual bypassing, or âjust think positiveâ pep talks
conversations that wrap everything up neatly with a bow
someone to tell you what to believe, how to live, or who to be
Itâs also not for people who:
get uncomfortable with honesty
dislike curiosity
or need every conversation to have a clear conclusion
(Loose ends happen here. Weâre okay with that.)
But if youâre still readingâŚ
If you like thoughtful, human conversations that wander a little, laugh a little, and sometimes land somewhere unexpectedly meaningful â then congratulations.
You might be exactly the kind of misfit we had in mind.

This is the part where we invite you into the conversation.
đď¸ Be Our Guest (yes, you)
If youâve ever thought, âIâm not famous enough / polished enough / expert enough to be on a podcastâŚâ
Good. Youâre exactly who weâre looking for.
The Home of Misfits podcast isnât about gurus, perfect stories, or people who have it all figured out. Itâs about real humans having real conversations â the kind that make you exhale halfway through and say, âOh wow⌠same.â
Weâre always open to guests who:
have lived, questioned, learned, unlearned, or are still figuring things out
are willing to be honest (polished is optional)
donât need to sell anything to be interesting
believe conversation can be healing without being preachy
You donât need a platform.
You donât need a following.
You donât need a âmessage.â
You just need to be human and willing to talk.
Some guests come with a story.
Some come with a question.
Some come with both.
All are welcome.
This isnât an interview where we grill you, fix you, or ask you to summarize your life in three neat soundbites. Itâs more like a thoughtful conversation in the Living Room â microphones on, pressure off.
If that feels like your kind of space, weâd love to hear from you.
No pitch required. No performance expected. Just conversation.
